Purchasing / Data Management Officer

The principal function of this role is to provide client support for transactional purchasing across the Rio Tinto Group worldwide. Other responsibilities include developing supplier agreements, in addition to creating and managing reverse auctions and the processing of purchase requisitions.

Sourcing Analyst

As a member of the sourcing team, Sourcing Analysts lead and implement projects that have a significant impact on the bottom line. This role exposes Analysts to all aspects of the operations across a range of business units.

Sourcing Specialist

Sourcing Specialists are responsible for managing one or more sourcing categories across a range of business units. Specialists both lead and participate in project teams to develop business cases, negotiate outcomes and manage contracts. Sourcing Specialists are expected to have strong commercial acumen and exceptional project management, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Additionally, a strong service focus and participative style will help to ensure results are delivered to internal clients.

Supply Chain Specialist

Supply Chain Specialists typically have more than five years work experience in the logistics field, having worked with internal and external stakeholders on logistics solutions, and the implementation, management and sourcing of supplier contracts in logistics. This dynamic role is focused on applying best practice solutions and continuous improvement of the entire supply chain for our business units – many of which are remote. These roles can involve significant travel. Specialists are degree qualified and preferably hold a Masters degree.

Service Delivery Manager

The work of the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) has a dual responsibility - to become RTP's representative to one or more Business Units, and to be the primary advocate for those Business Units in their dealings with RTP. The work includes the implementation and ongoing management of a business plan to deliver value to the Business Units. SDMs work with senior operations management to identify business requirements, and have end-to-end accountability for the sourcing process to ensure targets are met. In this highly visible corporate role SDMs have both internal and external executive level exposure.
