Rio Tinto Procurement is a dynamic and professional procurement organisation, set-up to best meet the needs of the Group business units. We source and enter into contractual relationships over a large range of goods and services, specialising in mining-specific categories. We source electronically as much as possible via auction and RFx, and transact using the Quadrem electronic marketplace.
Safe, efficient and innovative suppliers are strategically important to the success of the Rio Tinto business units.
As a general guide, Rio Tinto Procurement will follow an inclusive approach and will seek to work with suppliers, where appropriate, to support their adoption of policies consistent with our own, assist them in meeting minimum standards and ensure that progress is made toward target standards.
